Copyright & IP Policy

What belongs to us

The ValidMeet name, logo, wordmark, app design, illustrations, and software are owned by ValidMeet and protected by copyright and trademark law. Using the app does not give you any rights to them.

• Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or decompile the app.
• Do not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
• Do not scrape the service, or use its content to train a model or build a competing product.
• Do not remove or obscure any copyright or trademark notice.

What belongs to you

You keep ownership of everything you post: your photos, your bio, your group and event descriptions, and your messages.

By posting, you give ValidMeet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not use your photos in advertising without asking you first.

The license ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies retained as described in our Data Deletion Policy.

You are responsible for having the rights to whatever you post, including any photo taken by someone else.

Reporting infringement

If you believe content on ValidMeet infringes a copyright you own or represent, send a notice to our designated agent. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, your notice must include all of the following:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it, such as a profile name and a description of the photo.
• Your address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.

We remove infringing material promptly once we receive a valid notice, and we notify the member whose content was removed.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to dmca@validmeet.com containing:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district where you live, or for Travis County, Texas if you are outside the United States, and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.

We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. If they do not file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the content.

Repeat infringers

We terminate the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others. We also remove content that infringes trademarks, publicity rights, or privacy rights, whether or not the DMCA applies.
